As climate legislation is taking precedence in the Senate and rumors abound that the EPA is trying to regulate carbon emissions, there is no more appropriate time to get informed about the carbon market. It is paramount to climate legislation, reducing emissions, resuscitating the economy, and taking the first step toward a cleaner, energy secure world.
Perhaps the most comprehensive analysis of the carbon markets has finally been released. Professor Graciela Chichilnisky at Colombia University tells the story like it is. She moves from the very basics such as, what is carbon, to explaining avoided deforestation (REDD).
