Apple Leaves the U.S. Chamber of Commerce

Apple has also resigned from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce over their stance on climate legislation. Apple joins Nike, PNM Resources, Exelon, PG&E, and more in their support of climate legislation.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce actually lashed out at Apple for leaving, stating that Apple didn’t fully take the time to understand their stance on climate change. In case you are wondering how the U.S. Chamber of Commerce feels about climate legislation, they oppose it. In fact, they filed a report with the EPA asking them to hold public forums on the science of global warming. Killer Whales and Albatrosses Are Close Friends

Scientists attached small cameras on the backs of four albatrosses on Bird Island in the Antarctic Ocean to learn more about their feeding habits. After three foraging trips, the cameras found the birds tracking killer whales in the open ocean to feed off their scraps.

Many of you might be wondering, and why do I care about albatrosses? Well, Rime of the Ancient Mariner aside, the birds have an eleven-foot wingspan and can glide for hours without flapping their wings once. Not to mention they are amazingly beautiful with eyes that appear to have been painted on. And now scientists have significant insight into their feeding habits.
