A New El Nino Surfaces in the Eastern Pacific
Researchers in the U.S. and South Korea found that global warming could create a new type of El Nino in the Central Pacific. El Nino refers to the warm body of water in the Eastern Pacific that is responsible for severe weather patterns. The new El Nino could worsen droughts in Australia and India.
Climate Change Worse Than Predicted
A United Nations report released on Thursday suggested that climate change is now worse than anyone predicted. Severe global droughts, ocean acidification, and melting glaciers are just some examples that our world is changing. The report was released just in time for the Copenhagen Climate Change Summit in December.
